On the production of an agricultural machinery part and its optimization
Tenora, Tomáš ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the process of machining a forged connecting rod in cooperation with the company Zetor Tractors a.s. The first chapter of the thesis is focused on a detailed introduction of the company. The second chapter includes an elaborate analysis of the technical documentation and requirements concerning the making process of the subject of study, specifically the construction of the connecting rod. In the third chapter, the current production technology is discussed and described in detail. The aim of the fourth chapter is to propose an innovative technology which can be used for the production of connecting rods in the required quality. The fifth chapter is aimed at testing the newly designed technology. In the final, sixth, chapter, a technical and economical evaluation of the proposed procedure is performed.
Con Rod design and optimization of racing engine
Ulman, Jaroslav ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis describes the design and optimization of connecting rod motor racing car. At the beginning of the whole work is a 3D-model of rods, from which then the whole work is based. Then it analyzes the current model of stress and on the basis of the results are made structural changes to the solution of rods. Newly adapted connecting rod is again analyzed using FEM and newly obtained results are compared with results of the original model of connecting rods. The conclusion deals with sensitivity analysis of selected parameters of rods and their potential effect on the resulting changes in strength connecting rod .Then is an assessment of all results.
Mechanism of a one-cylinder spark ignition engine with elongated expansion
Tokař, Stanislav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the design of crank-type mechanism of engine with elongated expansion. The main attention is paid to examination of the progress of kinematic quantities and inertial forces in mechanism. Further on in the thesis, the analysis of piston-rod stress is carried out and is compared to the piston-rod of standard engine. In the last part of the thesis, there is an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the proposed mechanism solution.
Powertrain of three-cylinder gasoline radial engine
Košař, Miroslav ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is the design of a radial spark-ignition engine in two layout variations, the stress analysis of selected components using the finite element method, the eventual optimization of selected components and the determination of safety on their most strained locations.
Technology demonstrator of a four-stroke naturally aspirated spark-ignition engine
Chovanec, Stanislav ; Krátký, Martin (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with design of single cylinder engine which is technology demonstrator of four cylinder naturally aspirated spark ignition engine Mazda Skyactiv-G. Outset of this thesis deals with construction of modern naturally aspirated engines and with comparison of their parameters. Computational part consists of forces in crank mechanism. These calculations are later used in FEM analysis of connecting rod.
Spark ignition piston engine with an extended expansion
Koštuřík, Vojtěch ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a spark-ignition internal combustion engine with extended expansion. It explains the principle of extended expansion using the Atkinson or Miller cycle and the possibilities of achieving it. In addition, a design study and engine cycle is carried out. Subsequently, the course of the kinematic quantities and forces in the mechanism is determined. At the end, the strength analysis of the connecting rod of the designed mechanism is performed.
Crankshaft mechanism of Stirling engine
Valčík, Martin ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of the driving mechanism of Stirling engine, where was chosen modification of these engines with rhombic drive. Subsequently is constructed kinematical, dynamical and thermomechanical mathematical model. Finally, is going from these models for execution strength control and drawing documentation.
Powertrain of five -cylinder gasoline radial engine
Vítek, David ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with a design of a powertrain of fice-cylinder gasoline radial engine with assigned main parameters (bore, stroke, etc.). The work is divided into several parts: kinematics of the radial engine, creation of 3D models, force acting on the connecting rods, balancing of the engine. The last part is focused on creating MKP models, stress analysis and determining of fatigue safety of the selected parts.
Stress and strain analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine using FEM
Biječek, Tomáš ; Hutař, Pavel (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
In this diploma thesis is completed the FEM analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine Briggs & Stratton of the garden lawnmower. Within the frame of computing in the FEM system ANSYS Workbench is solved static structural strein and stress analysis, buckling analysis a fatigue also. The boundary conditions for FEM computing come out from the kinematic and dynamic analysis of the crank-slider mechanism in combustion engine. The 3-D models of the crank-slider mechanism are created in parametric SolidWorks modeller. Own construction variants of the connecting rod based on results of FEM analysis are also designed.
Connecting rod of gas V-sixteen engine
Laštovica, Karel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design of a stationary engine connecting rod, its stress analysis and its safety factors. The thesis is divided into several parts. At the beginning there is a short research of connecting rods construction and a description of the engine. Then the main dimensions of a piston group and a connecting rod are defined and its 3D model is created. Next, the calculations of forces acting on the connecting rod in the crankshaft mechanism, are carried out. The following part deals with a stress analysis of the model created by MPK. From the obtained stress results, the safety factor at fatigue limit in chosen places of the connecting rod is calculated. In the conclusion, the results of the stress analysis and set safety factor level, are recapitulated.
